Really? Another Interior Window?

Yep! And I’m not done, there are still more to come. Today’s interior window fits into two of the categories I’ve already started from “Our House”, both the Dining Room Series, and Interior Windows Series

This is an exterior window that’s ‘treated’ with an antique stained glass window on the inside.

This is the arch window I bought at Home Depot at a super reduced price when we originally started to transform the former garage into living space.

Like most of the other stained glass windows I’ve used in “Our House”, I purchased this pair from Ebay as well. The pair of antique windows side-by-side was just slightly narrower than the finished width of the arched window.

To remedy this I added two little pieces of scrap wood on each side, and just screwed them into the antique window panels. Then I found some hinges in the shed and screwed the scrap wood, (now painted the same color as our trim) right through into the frame of the antique panels and added the antique latch I found in the same junk box. The antique windows, as a pair, now work as shutters, and fortunately, I didn’t even need to paint them, that is the original finish they came with.

Most of the time this birdcage and tall lamps are sitting on the baker’s table in front of the arch window, sort of playing down the beautiful stained glass, but who knows, maybe I’ll be changing that soon.
