Someone Else’s House: Bungalow Living Room
Last time we were in this living room, I showed you the fireplace and mantel area that was transformed with paint and fabric. Our House… I Really Love Handsome Furniture
Several years ago, my husband and I were heading over to the cities. We live in NW Wisconsin, just about 20 or 30 miles East of St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN, and for those of you not from around here, they’re known as ‘the twin cities’… but locals shorten that to ‘the cities’.
So back to my story…
We were heading west, and driving through one of the suburbs we spotted an ‘estate sale’ sign. Those are the best sales and even though we were a day late from the opener, there still were a few treasures, and I think we got the best treasure of all… click here to read the rest of the story…

Someone Else’s House: Vintage Bungalow… Turning the Kitchen into a Masterpiece and All on a Budget
We’re back to visit the antique craftsman style home we’ve been touring. Little bit by little bit, we’ve seen some really clever and super cute transformations in this young couple’s first home, and the subject of today’s post is no exception to that.
When they bought this antique house, the kitchen, unfortunately had been re-done in the 1980’s. In which, the previous owners had completely stripped down and removed every original surface… appliances, floor, trim and window from the original home gone, and replaced with that famous, generic looking 80’s style. click here to read the rest of the story…
