Someone Else’s House: Vintage Bungalow… Turning the Kitchen into a Masterpiece and All on a Budget
We’re back to visit the antique craftsman style home we’ve been touring. Little bit by little bit, we’ve seen some really clever and super cute transformations in this young couple’s first home, and the subject of today’s post is no exception to that.
When they bought this antique house, the kitchen, unfortunately had been re-done in the 1980’s. In which, the previous owners had completely stripped down and removed every original surface… appliances, floor, trim and window from the original home gone, and replaced with that famous, generic looking 80’s style. click here to read the rest of the story…
Monday’s Simple Cleverness…Command Your Decorating!
This product has recently come to my attention and due to its cleverness I must share it with you today.
Maybe you’ve all heard about 3M Command Strips. I know, I’ve seen the commercials too, especially at Christmastime. You know, how they randomly hang a Christmas stocking on the wall with one, then cleanly pull it off, which truthfully, made me think I would never have a use for a hook to randomly hang a stocking from. I mean seriously, look at the packaging pics, do I really need to indiscriminately hang a purse on a wall? No.

Monday’s Simple Cleverness… Doors, just put a Stop to them!
When we transformed our garage to our dining room in “Our House”, we had to build out a ledge to accommodate and hide some utilities. But once the French doors were installed, I realized it wasn’t going to take much time at all before we found ourselves with a ledge right through the glass on the door.
