Burlap and Jute Give Wonderful Texture to this Table Re-Do

Let’s just start out right away with the before:

1 1 1 table before

Here are the things I like about this table… I like that it has storage, I like the shape, I even like the wood graining technique on the brown part.  But I do not like and never have liked the green panels with the flowers. They just aren’t painted in my favorite style or something…

I’ve been debating with myself ever since I bought this little table/cabinet from HomeGoods several years ago, why did I buy it if I didn’t like the way the green part looked… but since I did buy it that way, didn’t I need to ‘live with it’? I typically would have no problem selling it, but the size and shape and storage have been so darn useful, that I haven’t wanted to totally part with it.

But guess what? I finally came up with what I think is a great way to re-do it… well just the green panel parts… I decided to use click here to read the rest of the story…

Toile… What’s Not to Love About it?

Nothing! I absolutely love toile, I have since I remember first seeing it when I was a little girl, and even though it’s been so over-done to some regard the past few years… I still love it.

Our House… A Small Porch with a Vintage Garden Collection

Even though ‘Our House’ was designed with a front porch… well it’s pretty small, so maybe you’d call it a more of a ‘stoop’ than a porch… anyway, the way our house is laid out, visitors can’t seem to find their way to the ‘front’ (that’s why we now have the other pergola entry into the dining room) and so this porch has become a quiet spot where I display some of the vintage garden tools I’ve collected over the years.

Adjoining this small ‘front’ porch is the patio with the pergola we built, I showed you here.

The living room and library window both open onto this porch, so the sounds from it carry into the house… READ ON…

Our House… Screened Porch

We have numerous porch or porch type things at ‘Our House’, and the screened porch is one of them. It is the exact footprint of the sunroom because the screened porch sits directly below it. But unlike the sunroom which we made totally protected from the weather and livable all 4 seasons, the screened porch is only protected from bugs… for the most part… a few always seem to find a way in.

The screened porch is accessible from the lower level family room, it has a big sliding patio door that opens into the porch. It’s also  READ ON…

Our House… Ah… Life is Good in the Sunroom

At ‘Our House’, just off the kitchen is the sunroom. It’s everyone’s favorite place to be. When we first bought this house over 15 years ago, this room looked a little different than it does… ok, it looked a lot different, and it wasn’t the fav then.

So there you have it.

The End….

Ha.

Come on now, you know I wouldn’t be done without a few words about it, right? Read on…
